Our Creator God designed us to live from the inside out. In His marvellous intricate creation of the human body, he made us Spirit, Soul, and Body. The Scripture references ” your whole spirit and soul and body” in IThes5:23. It’s been said that, “You are a Spirit, you have a Soul, and you live in a Body”. I tend to think that the Spirit and Soul combine to be the Inner Man, while the Body represents the Outer Man. Either way, Jesus’ precious blood was shed for us redemptively on those three levels. He suffered for us.
1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
Think about it.
In our Soul, we battle worry, fear, & anxiety. But He suffered in the Garden and sweat drops of His precious blood.
In our Body, we battle sickness, pain, & disease. But He suffered at the whipping post, giving His back to the smiters, with His precious blood causing wounds and stripes.
In our Spirit, we battle sin, shame, & condemnation. But He suffered at the Cross, and his piercings plus the spear in His side brought forth His precious blood. And so our spirit is eternally free to be united with Him forever.
So you see that we do, indeed have redemption through His blood, and we are saved by faith in His blood.
Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Rom 3:23-26 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
