“So Good to Me” Matt Gilman & Cory Asbury

Cory Asbury has popped up in my early morning music feed on YouTube Music and caught my attention with this fun song. Here, he does a really catchy tune with collaborator Matt Gilman that I’m loving. “So Good To Me” has a focus on God’s goodness and tends to testify what the Father has done for them. And for me. You, too! The phrase “joy for my morning” is exactly what is happening in me through this song.

Love, joy, peace, righteousness in the Holy Spirit are words breathed from Romans 14:17-18, where His Word declares “the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit”. And that if we serve the Lord Jesus Christ in these things that we’re “acceptable to God and approved by men”.

“He’s been so good, so so good to me, Jesus”.

How well would your day go today with a song like this rolling around in your heart and coming out of your mouth? You could be off to a great start by proclaiming that the Lord has truly been so good to you.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Gal5:22-23
